Notes
This is a previously uncirculated soundboard direct recording of this show. It was recorded in mono onto two 10" 1/4 track reels at 7.5ips. It is 100% complete, from John Scher's introduction prior to the acoustic set right through to the P.A. music following the 3rd set encore. All three sets run seamlessly with nothing missing.

So good
Great transfer and legendary gig. Loved hearing some of these tunes on the Dead Ahead video release way back. This was a spirited time from the band

and clearly by 10/30 they had plenty of comfort in this acoustic/electric format, notwithstanding the rowdy crowd. Acoustic set standouts? All of them! That "Deep Elum" swings, that "On The Road Again," is quintessential, imho more pleasing than Pigpen's early era rendering. "To Lay Me Down," is sublime, indeed in it's finest form. "Heaven Help The Fool," instrumental reveals the subtle brilliance behind this tune, that was harder to spot in the studio rendering. The electric sets are strong. Bill Cobham guesting first and only time on drums-> other 1.. Thanks for this.

This is the stuff - the stuff of legends. Oh how I wish I had been at these acoustic shows. A favorite side of the Dead for me. This recording is excellent.

The music is free and flowing. The best of both worlds coming together for a magic performance/recording. Thank you for posting this
